IMPORTANT REMINDER: Crashes in Krusader caused by Qt 3.3.5
******************************************************************************
We've been getting a lot of emails and bug reports regarding random
crashes in Krusader, especially during some file operations
(copy/move etc.).
These crashes are related to Qt 3.3.5 and NOT Krusader.
It seems that Qt 3.3.5 introduced a serious bug which is now
causing random crashes in many KDE applications including
Konqueror. You can google for it to find out more.
As far as we know, Debian (and SuSE?[4]) already posted new Qt binaries
that fix the problem, and gentoo has masked Qt 3.3.5 completely.
As for now, you either need Qt 3.3.4 or a fixed Qt 3.3.5, depending
on your distribution.
More information is available on our website [3].
Our Krusader developer Heiner Eichmann encountered Qt 3.3.5
unstability problems on SuSE [4], Csaba Karai recommends to
to use Qt 3.3.4 since SuSE RPM-s from www.kde.org seems to be buggy.
More feedback regarding this issue is always welcome in the forum tread [3].
Since _many_ bugs where fixed since 1.60.1 , we also recommend that you
upgrade to Krusader-1.70.0 "Round Robin".

Krusader and Konqueror - Twin versus One-panel filemanagers
************************************************************************
Linuxtoday.com [16] has published Matej Urbancic article [17] that
explains about the differences between Krusader, as a member of
twin panel file managers, and Konqueror, as single panel
multi-purpose manager.
Matej Urbancic [18] is a Gnome user who tested numerous file
mangers available for Linux.
After finding the best OFM available, he joined the Krew to support
the Krusader project and help in spreading the usage of twin-panel
file managers. This year he started a blog [19] in which he
focuses on understanding the OFM paradigm.

Website XHTML 1.1 / Search 2.0
**************************************
The website has undergone some changes [23]. First, the website is
fully XHTML 1.1 compliant now. That was about time. Furthermore
the search box has been moved for better visibility. While there
is nothing special about the search itself, the text next to it
has this cool vanishing effect. It's powered by Thomas Fuchs' most
excellent script.aculo.us JavaScript framework, which brings some
Web 2.0 flavour to the site. Many files are affected by the
changes - please report any oddities you might notice.
