Welcome to the Krusader Newsletter with news, views and
information about recent developments and ongoing issues in the
Krusader Project. Our aim is to inform of recent developments, give
a preview of upcoming features, and to let our loyal users have a
direct line to the Krusader Krew.
Distribution News: The barrier of 25 distro's is broken!
**************************************************************
Distrowatch.com reports more and more Linux distros that include
Krusader 1.70.0 [1] and so the barrier of 25 distro's is broken :-)
We would like to welcome the next new distributions:
- Kate OS: 3.0-alpha1
- Linux-EduCD: 0.6
- NetBSD: pkgsrc
- T2: 2.2.0-rc
- UHU-Linux: 2.0-test1
Also worth to mention is that the new SuSE 10.1 inlcludes Krusader
and that ISlack has changed it's name to NetSecL.
btw. Krusader is also available on Fedora [2] via The Fedora Extras repository
with the next command: # yum install krusader

New cvs checkout url

Sourceforge has deployed a new CVS infrastructure.
Due some changes the url to checkout krusader from cvs is changed [3] [4].
The new cvs checkout url is:

The command to checkout Krusader from subversion is:

Thought, it's recommend to use CVS for krusader_kde3,
since krusader_kde3 is currently developed in CVS and not in SVN and
krusader_kde4 is not yet available.

Website News: Background scripting revived
***************************************************
Dirk Eschler has was able to fix the live website updates [5],
this service was down since 2 December 2005 [6].
The following website features are supposed to be back and updated on
a daily basis:
- Snapshot generation ( please use anonymous cvs if you can [3] )
- Live ChangeLog and CVSNEWS
- Translation status updates
- Online documentation transformation

Website News: World Map section

Dirk has integrated the Krusader Worldmap into our website [7]. Thanks
again Dirk!
The map [8] [9] has been made public and everyone is welcome to add
his or her name and location,
be it code contributer, translator, packager or fellow user.
Just make sure to choose an appropriate pin when you join.

New bugfixes available in cvs

No new features this time in cvs since the last newsletter [10],
though some bugfixes and i18n updates where committed in cvs [11] [12] [13].
We welcome and encourage your feedback!

Krusader Developer Karai Csaba, also known as our bugslayer
(no single bug is safe when Csaba is around),
is married with Edina [15]. They received congratulations and best wishes
