Welcome to the third Krusader Newsletter of 2007 with news, views and
information about recent developments and ongoing issues in the
Krusader project. Our aim is to inform of recent developments, give a
preview of upcoming features and to let our loyal users have a direct
line to the Krusader Krew.
1.80.0-beta2 released

On 31 March 2007 Krusader-1.80.0-beta2 was released [1], thanks to our
users binaries for Debian, Ubuntu, SuSE and OpenSUSE are available, as
always on Gentoo you can use Portage. Please send in bugreports, when
the bugs are killed we will release a stable. Krusader-1.80.0 will
become the last version for KDE3, after the release we will start the
KDE4 porting process.

Since the last newsletter [2] several bugfixes where added in cvs. We
welcome and encourage your feedback! Download it [3], play with it,
push it to the limit, and then tell us what you found! More cvs

With the release of 1.80.0-beta2 have entered a feature and string
freeze for the 1.80.0 series, so translators are asked to send in GUI

Documentation renewed by the University of Oulu (Finland)

The Technical Communication team of 2007 of the University of Oulu
(Finland) under the lead of Minna Hekanaho has renewed the
Documentation for Krusader 1.80.0 [9] [10] [11] This was the first big
help revision since the initial help call for documentation [12] was
lanched on November 2005 and a new help call was made in September
2006. Though many things are updated now, not all 1.80.0 features are
documented yet and some chapters are unfinished, and so the help call
for documentation writers is still open. If you are interested in
helping keep the documentation up to date, please contact Frank [13].

Krusader 1.70.x distribution news

Distrowatch.com only tracks stable releases, so there is no
distribution information about Krusader 1.80.0-beta2. Distrowatch.com
reports 16 distibutions that provide Krusader-1.70.0 [17] and 24
distros that provide Krusader-1.70.1 [18]. Be aware that
Distrowatch.com only checks the initial release of a distro, so
updates, backports or external repositories are not always reported in
this list. It seems that Mandriva has left the list, and that Yoper
has come back :)
