Greetings,

I encourage all heralds in the Kingdom of Lochac to read this
advertisement and consider if they would be able to help the College
of Heralds at this time. Although the message mentions Letters of
Intent, I will be continuing as Rocket Herald (at the new Crux's
pleasure) and will continue to process submissions. I really really
don't have the time to be both Crux and Rocket, so please apply if you
feel you might be suitable for the position.

Greetings to the populace of Lochac

It is with great regret that Baroness Massaria de Cortona has resigned
as Crux Australis Principal Herald effective on the 17 November 2009.
We would like to acknowledge and thank her for her contribution to the
Kingdom. THL Eleyne de Comocke has agreed to be Crux Australis Herald
until 12th Night, with the primary role of managing the recruitment
process.

Crux Australis is the Chief Heraldic officer for the Kingdom of
Lochac. This is an administrative role. They are responsible for:
gathering all relavant reports; issuing Letters of Intent to Register;
co-ordinating heraldic advice to the Crown; guiding and leading the
College of Heralds; overseeing the financial administration of the
College; acting in the interest of Heralds throughout the Kingdom and
reporting to the Crown, Kingdom Seneschal and the Sovereigns of Arms.

Crux Australis must have access to both email and internet due to the
size of the Kingdom and the nature of position. All Greater Kingdom
Officers are required to act with courtesy and swear fealty to to the
Crown and Populace of Lochac.

The position of Crux Australis is an important role in the Kingdom and
the following areas are what are being sought for any applicants for
the position:

*Good understanding of heraldic processes or the ability to develop
skills with assistance
*Good written and verbal communication
*Ability to work with Society, Kingdom and local Officers as well as
the Crown.
*Ability to foster and encourage heraldry, heraldic practice, and
heraldic display within the Kingdom of Lochac
*Ability to manage people
*Ability to coordinate reports and report in a timely manner

by the 24th of December 2009. It is anticipated that the sucessful
applicant will be sworn in at 12th Night. (Proxy is acceptable).
