Hi folks,

I'm running KQStor ZFS for test on my new Unbuntu 10.04 server
(amd64), which works quite well since some weeks.
I've another ZFS NAS with OpenSolaris, which should be replaced by the
Ubuntu server in further time.

I installed the ZFS stuff by downloading the sources via GIT and
installed with the script install.sh out of the utilities path misc-
scripts.

This went fine twice and the only problem is, that the install script
doesn't find the init-script to install in line 364:
cp $HOME_DIR/lzfs/scripts/zfsload-ubuntu /etc/init.d/zfsload
cp: cannot stat `lzfs/scripts/zfsload-ubuntu': No such file or
directory

There is no scripts directory under lzfs?!
root@svr:/usr/src/ZFS# ls -ld */scripts
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Feb 9 21:46 spl/scripts/
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4.0K Feb 9 21:47 zfs/scripts/
root@svr:/usr/src/ZFS# ls -ld */scripts/*ubuntu
ls: cannot access */scripts/*ubuntu: No such file or directory

Currently I'm using an older version of the init script ...

This is not my main problem but may relate to this. When I shutdown
the server, it hangs with multiple processes running "zfs umount -a".

root 2143 32325 1 22:32 pts/1 S+ 0:00 zfs umount -a
root 2653 2 0 10:40 ? S< 0:00 [zfs_vn_rele_tas]

root 32317 26891 0 22:32 pts/1 S+ 0:00 /bin/sh /etc/init.d/

root 32318 32317 0 22:32 pts/1 S+ 0:00 zfs umount -a
root 32319 32318 0 22:32 pts/1 S+ 0:00 zfs umount -a

root 32325 32324 0 22:32 pts/1 S+ 0:00 zfs umount -a

They flood the console with error messages like this:

Samba sharing is not supported.

unmount '/datapool': Device or resource busy

cannot unmount '/datapool/Archiv': Invalid argument

Btw, I've no Samba shares configured on the ZFS pools and volumes,
neither on any other path on this server!
If I kill all the zfs processes, the shutdown continues without any
problem, and with the next boot the ZFS volumes are fine and mounted.

Please help.

Juergen

Hi Juergen Lennefer,
We have solution for your problem that you can try for now.
As you are Debian user,  you should install the following package to overcome the
problem :

"nfs-kernel-server"   ( # apt-get install nfs-kernel-server )

If you have same problem with other system then please install corresponding package for you system.
We are looking for better solution and will let you know as soon as possible.

Thanks & Regards,
Sandeep Kapse
