Hello fungi seekers!,
I hope every one will get out this weekend and enjoy the great variety
of mushrooms fruiting right now. It is a great weekend to go
foraging. If you are passing by Girdwood, please stop in and see what
the Girdwood Fungus Fair has to offer. There are activities Friday,
Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Please don't forget to plan some time for Mushroommania on the Kenai
next weekend, September 11th and 12th. Here is the menu for the

Could you tell me something.  I have a large  Norwegian pine tree in my yard and the last two years I have had a huge ring of mushrooms  that grow  completely around it in a circle about eight feet from the tree. Have tried to do research on this but have found nothing.  I live in Soldotna off Knight drive and no one else has ever had this?
