BEE KILLING PESTICIDE SHOULD NOT BE RENEWED BY E.P.A.

Three weeks ago, the S.A.N. Newsletter reported that neonicotinoid pesticides, particularly Clothianidin and Imidicloprid made by Bayer, are triggering Colony Collapse Disorder.  But the USDA and EPA have ignored the evidence and continue to certify neonicotinoids - USDA & EPA Ignored Pesticide Ravaging Bees.

The EPA is on the verge of renewing Clothianidin's certification, but they used flawed science to approve this neonicotinoid insecticide originally in 2010.  Why is the EPA putting at risk a keystone species, the pollinator of 1/3 of our agriculture crops?  France, Italy, Slovenia, and Germany — the home of Bayer — have already banned Clothianidin.  Tell the EPA: Revoke approval of the pesticide that's wiping out honey bees. Submit a comment before the deadline on Tuesday.
