What does the word Kotti mean, and how was it chosen? I'd assumed Daniel made it up, but when I searched YouTube for his how-to-add-a-comment-addon video and typed "kotti", it came up with a bunch of unrelated results in German. I later searched Wikipedia and it seems to be an Indian Tamil family name and movie title. So is it a German word or a tribute to Bollywood/masala? It becomes important if you're recommending Kotti to companies, and you want to make sure it doesn't mean "shit" in German or something.

I guess only "somehow" unrelated as most of these vids will have something to do with the place in Berlin Kotti was named after: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kottbusser_Tor.

No, it has no negative connotation – at least not in German…

Cheers,
