Calendar-Sync not working properly

for quite a time, I'm having trouble in getting the calendar sync of
KolabDroid to work. I am using the most recent git version and I have Android
2.3 on my HTC Desire. When I install KolabDroid from scratch, the calendar
sync works at the first time but then fails to sync again (nothing is shown in
the log of KolabDroid under "KolabDroid status" in the sync account settings).
When I deactivate and activate the entry for the calendar sync, logcat gives
me the following message
D/SyncManager( 166): failed sync operation authority: com.android.calendar
account: Account {name=KolabDroid SyncAccount, type=at.dasz.kolabdroid}
extras: [] syncSource: 0 when: 119527978 expedited: false, SyncResult:
syncAlreadyInProgress: true stats []
which is repeating over and over again until I deactivate the calendar sync
again. Surprisingly, the contact sync is working without problems, most of the
time. Even more surprisingly, the calendar sync seems to work sometimes when
the phone is connected to my PC and therefore in debug mode...
Is anyone having similar problems or suggestions for the cause of mine?

I'm running CM6 (which is 2.2 based) and I'm not having such a problem.
What is interesting is that "syncAlreadyInProgress: true" there. That
should only be true if there is already a thread running in the background.
Since ICS has an officially supported CalendarContract[1], I'm hoping
that the situation will imporve in the future. Until then we'll have to
hack on in the dark.
