FWIW, in case anybody else is looking for a non-Java solution to
validate javarosa forms (which I believe don't validate with the
XForms XML Schema due to the additions made to the schema by
javarosa), I was pointed to

(python/json) by the ODK community. See

for the thread. Hopefully, one day I can help with creating the .xsd
for javarosa forms...
