Brooklyn Tweed (aka Jared Flood) teaching at Knitty City!
Beaumont Tam, 2-5; Knitting a Seamless Sweater, 6-9 PM
We understand this is his ONLY teaching gig in New York City this
Fall. Join us in welcoming him to Knitty City as he teaches these 2
classes. The hat is from his newest set of patterns "Made in
Brooklyn"; the second class will result in a finished small sweater
knit int he round. Fee: $60.00 per class - Limited number of spaces

Paula Hammerskog, Co-Author of "Swedish Knits: Classic and Modern
Designs in the Scandinavian Tradition" will be here to discuss the
creation of her newest book. FREE EVENT

Men's Club is back. Join Alphonse Poulin as he heads up this group
for knitterly guys among us. FREE weekly group.

Charity Knitting with Pamela Ness - The head Hugger series - Guess

Knitty City will be participating in the 4 day NYC Yarn Crawl. There
will be a surprise gift for the first 50 people who identify
themselves as being a member of the yarn crawl. Go to

Marsha Auguste discusses her creation of the superhero knits. See

Veronik Avery, the creator of the new line of St. Denis Yarns and a
new book of patterns from Classic Elite, will be on hand to discuss
her adventures in creation and yarn making. FREE
October 13, 2-5 PM
Judith Durant conducts a class on creating a beautiful beaded purse.

New York State Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck, NY

As much as we hate to see all our fiber friends leave NYC for the day,
we do understand. This is one of the largest and most impressive of
all wool and fiber festivals. It's a must do for anyone who loves
knitting and crochet and the animals who make it all possible.
October 20, 6-9 PM
Kathy Merrick - Author of "Crocheting with Color", will be here to
discuss how to use color, creatively and with joy; specifically,
she'll be teaching the technique for her wonderful Koigu scarf. All
colors are available and since October is Koigu Month at Knitty City,
we'll be offering the 10% discount on all Koigu purchased for the
workshop!! Fee: $60.00. We'll also be providing a little color
counsel for those who wish to make this wonderful scarf in another
colorway - or two!
October 27, 5-9 PM
Shirley Paden - Author of "Knitwear Design Workshop: The Comprehensive
Guide to Handknits" will conduct a special workshop on Finishing
Techniques.
Sign up immediately for this wonderful class. Shirley is a master of
couture type finishing and you won't want to miss this opportunity to
meet her and work with her during this special 4 hr. workshop. FEE:
