Hi tekgergedan,

Nice app!
Yet there is one limitation I'd like to point out to you: after
submitting a fairly large path placemark (i.e. a lot of coordinates),
I received a error message. I guess the problem is that the ASP server
only supports max 200KB uploads (= default). I'm not sure whether
changing the configuration for that would suffice, because server side
processing takes up quite some time. Submitting a path of about 100KB
can take long enough to get a browser time out before receiving the
response.
The reason the path I submitted has become so large is because it was
based on a route generated by GE, which is very detailed.

Well, just to let you know. I can't think of any practical solutions
right now.

Hi Frank,

An old post. I remember I read your message but I seem have forgotten
to reply. If you come back, please do not treat me bad. :)

There certainly is a limit, you are right. But as people are using kml
more and more and the sizes become larger and larger, the limits will
be a major problem. Until then, time to time I am trying to think
about a solution.

After a level, it is similar to pasting a soft copy of a book into the
address bar of the explorer as a url parameter. Further, I really did
not have any need to learn the size of the clipboard though I used to
know when I was using a Mac.

There is a clash between size and time choice. I preferred a fastest
way while doing it (ie all calculations and output are done in
memory). But this way has truely limits. ...though others would have
also their own specific limits and many other problems (which increase
the period used for the execution of the if clauses) because some kml-
creating applications/devices are inserting numerous tags into it
which are not included in GE's kml Documentation.

Your ideas are well desired. :)

Hello tekgergedan,

in this application (macro) I am not sure if I understand the logic of
the (Grid.downleft Grid.downright Grid.upright Grid.upleft
G.horizontalblend G.verticalblend G.LineWidth G.LineColor G.FillColor
10,3,0 41,7,0 40,30,0 11,20,0 3 2 2.3 ffffffff 9cffaa00)
what does it mean 10,3,0? are they associated with lat and long? Could
you please explain?

A bug with the starting point of the output path, reported by leszekp,
has been corrected.

Thanks, leszekp. :-)
