VISTA External browser Options

Hi ManoM,

It's been awhile since I've done any development with GE but recently
I've been working toward a method to integrate and host a resizable MS
I.E. 7.0+ Browser into Vista - ( UAC ) ON, in the GE Side Panel . I've
also provided the little extension addon, the ability to capture and
force activations from the Balloon Description Links into the
integrated browser without cluttering the user's screen view with the
normal external browser .

You made a comment about the GE user base being reluctant to download
extensions to GE.

If I were to publish this extension do you still think it's the
position of most user to not be encouraged to download an addon for
this type of functionality?

Hi IDEVFH,

You could do that. I think that most of the development of plugins and
app built on top of Earth are going to the Earth API. Because you can
put it in a browser, and because we provide official support for it,
when we don't for the COM API. I don't know beyond that.
