Hi,
I'm trying to help a friend to load a lot of data to the web. We have many KMZ he created in google earth, we want to create a web site that will have links to load them to google maps. It looks like the size and other API limitations are not a problem, we do not need advanced features like tours, 3D etc., mostly polygons and data.
I had first thought of using the import in google maps to create my own map and than save it and share, but when I tried to do it the map came up with many pages and "Next" bar. each page contained only few polygons. Then I saved the KML file on the web and created a network link file. If I copy the web address into the search box of google maps the map opens well, with all polygons, exactly as I want it to be. But I want this to happen automatically, without the user having to open google maps and copy the web address. If I use the network link file, the file is downloaded from the web and opened in google earth.
Can someone offer a way to automatically load KML/KMZ file into google maps, using a link?
Thanks,
Lilach
