Trying to get the detials behind sitemaps, KML, and Geositemaps

I may be in the wrong group for this, but I'll ask my quesition. I'm
trying to create a site map for a small company and want to include
coordinates of their store. I see how to create a geo site map that
lists the KML file for the information, but I can''t find a sample of
the KML file. Is the KML file a site map with URLs listed (which I
have the code for) with the plavemark and point added?

I guess I'm just looking for a sample of the geosite map and a sample
of the KML file it references.


I apologize for this post here,but I've been reading articles and
instructions for a couple of days and can't find the answer.
