Hi-

I've been working on a mapping system and stumbled upon Google Earth and KML capabilities.

I wanted to know if I was going down the right path with my project and needed to verify a few things:
  1. If I create a custom polygon/KML file, will it contain the lat/long of every point that I created?  Ex:  I have a pentagon shaped polygon, will it store all 5 points?
  2. I thought that if I used the path tool, if I connect the end and start points, it would create a polygon, correct?  I can't seem to get it to work.  How do I get it to work?
Thank you!

Of course! How could it not?

Google Earth has a dedicated Polygon tool. Use that to create
Polygons, rather than the Path tool!

Thank you for the quick response.  The polygon tool is nice, but doesn't seem to work.  I downloaded a Google Map overlay and the polygon tool doesn't display the highlights when I start to plot.  Only the path tool seems to work.
