Subject: I am new and have a general question
Hell,
I am Dave from Phoenix, Az, USA
I apologize in advance if my terminolgy is wrong

I wish to add a HTML tag to a placemark to have it open a Microsoft
OneNote file on our local network. Is this possible or is there
another procedure that would be more appropriate?

I would like to have some data about different projects that we have
done.

I have read many discussions and was unable to find one that addressed
this topic.

thank you for your time.

Dave

Links to local files it seems ahve been disabled in the latest
versions of Google Earth.

Do you have any sort of intranet you could link to? Possibly even a
webserver than can serve up files from your local network? Or maybe
you have some sort of search that you could link the specific page for
the file?

Another possibilty (but not sure its actully a good idea, mainly as it
creates lots of copies of your files) - is to package up the file
inside a kmz, I think GE still allows lauching files from inside
archives (but then again that functionality might go too!)

(btw I take it the opening comment is a typo, rather than vent of
frustration ;)

It's certainly an eye catching opener. It's given me an idea to start
posts with:

"Strewth,
I am Darrell from Sydney, Australia"

:-)

Hi, Barry
Local relative links see ok for me. Strange.
As solution i see have links to local (relative KML) html pages and
see docs by click (or redirect) from this pages.
