Apollo 8 - Earthrise

I would like to recreate the famous Apollo 8 'Earthrise' picture as an
introduction to a talk about Google Earth.

Barnabu has done work with 3-d models of the moon

So what is missong is the relative position of Earth Moon and Apollo 8
when the photo was taken.

Any ideas how to proceed?

I don't think you can scale the moon properly to do what you want in
"Earth" mode, so what you will have to do is create a model earth and
use that in "Moon" mode.
