= THE VOTE WAS TAKEN – NOW WHAT? =
On November 28, the General Board voted to move ahead with plans to build a chapel/auditorium and fine arts academic wing. The vote reflected confidence that God will provide, but also recognized the concerns about the financial challenges. This short update explains the next steps in this process.
There is a great deal of work that must be done before we can break ground. To make the project manageable we are working with the architect and builder to find ways in which the costs can be reduced. The Board of Directors is prioritizing some options, and we are seeking gifts-in-kind from people who have the ability to donate labor or materials which ultimately reduces the overall costs. In addition, the Mission Advancement Team continues seeking new gifts and pledges that will decrease the amount we need to borrow.
In summary, the approval on November 28 has authorized us to move forward with our plans, but we are being faithful and diligent throughout this process. We will not break ground until we are convinced that the facility plans are complete and the financing plan is acceptable.

You're invited! On December 9, 10, 16, and 17 from 6-8:30 PM, several local WELS churches are producing a Living Nativity to proclaim a Savior born for all people. The Living Nativity will take place at Enchantment in the Park, which is an animated Christmas light show on the Washington County Fairgrounds. We are excited for the great opportunity to share Jesus with thousands of people at Enchantment in the Park and invite you to attend. In addition, we encourage you to bring your friends and relatives to reflect on the promise fulfilled through Jesus. To enter the park, a free will donation per car of $10 cash or non-perishable food items is suggested. These donations are given to several local food pantries to feed the hungry.
