Hi all,
The Dorris branch of the Siskiyou County Public Library is in need
of funding in order to keep the library open more than the one day a
week the county can provide. We are embarking on a series of fund
raising events in order to keep the library open for more than that. So
far, we have been able to come up with enough to get the library open
for three days of the week, but not for as many hours as we would like,
so we are doing events to bring in funds. I am starting this off with a
Birds Of Prey of Butte Valley tour on March 27th. Everyone who attends
can expect to make a minimum donation of $5 which goes 100% to support
the library, so if you plan on attending, don't feel that exceeding the
minimum by a little or a lot will be discouraged, it will be greatly
appreciated and is tax deductible. We will meet at the library at 9:30
and the schedule is to return a bit after 1PM, but most of you know me,
if some folks can't bring themselves to quitting that early, I can go
all day. Gee, I love it so much, I may not return even after everyone
else has called it a day. The library is located at 800 W. Third St in
Dorris. I am hoping that so many folks attend that we will be in need of
a few extra co-leaders, so any of you who may wish to help out, Come On
Down to Dorris.
