CBC Rails on Ice

Here are a couple of pics from the CBC on Wingwatchers Trail.

Virginia Rail (this is in the little cove just before the eagle perch.
I walked out the spur trail, and the rail flushed off the ice along
the edge and ran/swam into a little cave of overhanging brush:

Sora (this is where the trail splits to go around the biggest pond).
When I first saw the Sora, it disappeared quickly into the reeds, but
on the way back it flushed across the neck of the pond and stood on
open ice for a few seconds:
