The Thursday, May 9, program meeting of the Klamath Basin Audubon Society features a program on the fascinating adaptations of vultures and their critical role in the environment. Brandon Breen, Outreach and Communications Specialist for the Klamath Bird Observatory, will share his research on California Condors, Andean Condors, Turkey Vultures, and several other species. The meeting will be held at the County Meeting Room at 4th and Pine Streets beginning at 6:30 with refreshments. The featured program will begin at 7:15. The public is welcome to attend.
Mr. Breen earned a B.A. in Biology from Bates College and a Masters of Science in Conservation Biology from University of Minnesota. He joined K.B.O. in 2012 and is also the Vice-President of the Turkey Vulture Society and editor of their newsletter, The Blue Skies Above. He serves on the International Migratory Bird Day Art Committee and the U.S. State of the Birds Communications Team.
