There have been six burglaries in Norkirk and Bridle Trails in the
past week or so. Five were at night, one was in the afternoon. Four of
the night burglars used a master remote to open garages and steal
bicycles, etc. The other two (one night and one afternoon) pried open
windows.

There are a lot of good tips for burglary prevention online - I urge
you to look at them.

A sad note from a neighbor:

"I just had to put down my young, healthy, adorable kitty last night.
She was an indoor/outdoor kitty, and apparently drank something
outside that had antifreeze in it ... I'd love to remind our neighbors
that anti freeze is a poison and should be handled and disposed of
very carefully ... With loads of snow, ice and rain, many pets will
drink from puddles etc ..."
