Think about an orchestrated effort by speakers. Each one should be relaying the same message but different components of it....for instance, public transportation.....I car pool with my son but would like to completely ditch the car and take public transportation. At under a dollar a ride, it's cheap, however, I can't seem to find the bus routes, times, or a location that picks up better than every hour for the first few hours around work time. What about heating fuel. There is an entirely new group of working poor. I heard the Committee overseeing Social Services feels "those people" know how to circulate through the system, but "those people" have been in the system for generations. What about the "new" group who has had their homes foreclosed one due to sub-prime lending and other exotic loan practices.

If it's for a PURPOSE, we should organize: (1) What do we want to walk away with? (2) Is it reasonable, achievable? (3) What must we DO to achieve our goal(s)? (4) Who do we know best equipped to DO each? etc., etc.

I think that¹s a great idea.
Perhaps one of the residents could create a flyer with the reasons why the
August 13th meeting is important. We can use the text to post here.
Alan, if you could perhaps assemble 3-4 people to go along with you that
evening it would be a start.

8), Holly and Susan (who are wanting to create a Victory Garden on about a
1/2 acre or so of land for the residents over in Ward 4), and Kristin

May I have a copy of deed restriction? I have been denied access to any
City Building Dept records - they claim that a citizen must file a FOIL. I
thought permits were to be posted prominently in plain view.
