Hey KingstonLUG!

We are a group of concerned activists and technicians who are
organizing the Open Source Action Centre here in Kingston.

Our plan is to take in donated used PC and other systems and refurbish
them, and make them available to the pubic for $10-$50. We would
operate in the same sense of the Yellow Bike Action Centre, just with
PC and electronics re-use/recycling instead of bicycles. Based loosely
of the Fee geek model in the US.

All our systems (BlackBox's) will have Debian or Ubuntu installed. We
would offer free training work shops and teach-ins to those who wish
to learn computer repair, open source software and hardware, linux,
and much more.

We are also working to establish the Kingston Meshnet and Open Source
Manufacturing education.

We have a website in the works and are registering as a non-profit,
and are in negotiations with the City and Occupy Kingston to for a
location.

Anyone in the KingstonLUG who wishes to participate or volunteer,
email us at opensourcea...@gmail.com

Solidarity!

-Open Source Action Centre (O.S.A.C)
