Community Postings ************************************* 1. Davening this week: We meet every Friday evening in KI's Rabb Chapel at 384 Harvard St. in Brookline. Our davening this week begins at 5:15pm with mincha, followed directly by kabbalat shabbat and maariv.
Join us for Kiddush after services, sponsored by the KICKS Leadership Team in honor of KICKS’ second birthday! Like
most 2 year-olds, our favorite gifts are edible (we especially like
cookies and jellybeans). Instead of bringing a gift to the party, please
consider a donation to
the KICKS Kiddush Fund. Checks payable to KI can be sent (with a note
indicating it's a donation for KICKS) to 384 Harvard Street, Brookline
02446. Thanks!

- All-Ages Purim Party with klezmer music, dinner, hamentaschen, and a
costume parade in Landers Hall. $10/adult or $25/family (suggested
donation) 8:30pm
- Adult-only Purim Jazz Café with live music, raffles, food and drink
(bring your ID) in Landers Hall. $10/adult (suggested donation) On Thursday, March 8th: 6:45am - Shacharit services with full, traditional Megillah reading in the Rabb Chapel
Matanot LaEvyonim Please bring your checkbook or cash to KI with you on Purim to give generously to Yad Chessed to fulfill the mitzvah of matanot la’evyonim (gifts for the poor) which is specific to the holiday. You can also give online before the holiday: www.yadchessed.org/purim.
(Indicate that you’re giving through KI, so we count you in our total).
Last year we raised $1363 for families in need. Can we beat that this
Purim?
3. Help a community member get to KICKS We
are looking for volunteers to help bring a man who uses a wheelchair
two blocks from his home to KICKS services on Friday nights. Anyone
interested should contact Ari Abelman at aabe...@gmail.com. Thank you for making our davening accessible!
4. KI Community Shabbat Dinner Join us in celebrating a Community Shabbat on Friday March 30,
at approximately 8 p.m., after KICKS. KI will provide a vegetarian
meal, which we will be cooking on Thursday night prior to the meal. This
is a partially funded dinner, so we are just asking for $5 plus a food
donation (for Family Table) for each person signing up. Please sign up
here: http://tinyurl.com/7bt4cfk.
5. Ride to NYC for Pesach A
member of the community who lives at Hebrew Senior Life on Centre St.
is looking for a ride to New York City for Pesach. If you will be
driving from this area to the New York City area for the holiday, please
email Emily to be put in touch with him. Thanks!

KICKS
is a warm community of spiritually engaged Jews that strives to create
soulful, energetic Friday night t'filah and nourishing, inclusive
communal activities. We cultivate a traditional-egalitarian davening
atmosphere that is committed to powerful prayer experience, within the
broader communal fabric of Jewish learning and socializing in Brookline
and Boston. We welcome new faces and seasoned ones, and encourage
everyone to join us in taking responsibility for the group experience.
