Sunday, November 1st, 2009
Chris and Campbell will be teaching two very special blues workshops
this Sunday.
Solo Blues: 1-3pm
Learn to dance in the manner of the famed pilot and gunslinger who
defined cool for a generation. This workshop includes such moves as
“Running Headlong down a Corridor” and “Running Headlong from a
Bunker.” We’ll also be going over modern Solo-inspired steps such as
the Hokey-Pokey-Religion and the “Nerf Herder”. Whether you enjoy your
music with a quiet drink in a dim cantina or chilling out to the
sounds of Max Rebo, this is the class for you.
Blaerials: 3:30-6pm
And just what is a Blaerial, you ask? It is a portmanteau of The Blair
Witch Project and Ariel; a dance term meaning “to perform a shaky
amateur routine while losing your voice,” or alternatively, “to
frighten other dancers with hints of your seashell undergarments.”
These basic skills are essential to any aspiring dancer.
