I ordered a Yamaha PSR 1500 for our band. I had a 1000 dollar limit so after research I chose this one. I liked it because of the features but the price irked me a bit. I just set up my new music keyboard. I want to try playing right hand naturally and use Casio Chords with the left hand. Right away I have a problem. The user's guide says "The accompaniment keyboard can be used for playing chords only. No sound will be produced if you try playing single melody notes on the accompaniment keyboard." NOT TRUE!!! I purchased a radio shack LK-1261 MIDI keyboard for my 10 yr old, as well as, Finale Printshop, so she could write her music on the computer. Our daughter is an accomplished piano player and has left home for college now. We would like to get her a keyboard for christmas but, of course, have a limited budget.
