Full time, twelve month position.
Salary range: $85,000 - $93,000
Essential Functions
Oversees E-12 comprehensive curriculum view process, including alighment to MN and national standards, multi-year program study identifying strengths and growth opportunities, and a structure for decision-making regarding instructional resources. Provides leadership for administrative liaisons and curriculum leaders. Develop system-wide structures for communication and building understanding of programs including responsibility for Community Curiculum Advisory Committee.
Coordinates and oversees the implementation of professional learning and instructional effectiveness including: Teaching for Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW). Provides support for the assurance of principal and teacher understanding and application of the model for the purpose of examining the intellectual quality, rigor, and complexity of teaching and learning.
Leads the pursuit and coordination of grant opportunities related to instructional program or district-wide initiatives, and for providing leadership and support for grant activities across the district. Provides leadership by establishing means of communication regarding grant opportunitites, applications, and awards; conducting grant writing workshops; and developing systems for authorizing applications.
Collaborates with other Teaching and Learning team members to develop and maintain a system for sites to examine student performance and growth goals, and measures of student success. Supports principals and their teams to establish measureable goals for student success through activities such as data analysis retreats, and to develop measures for assessing progress of programs. Supports principals and teacher leaders with presentations, training offered in-house or through ECSU, MDE or other groups.
Implements, oversees and monitors designated initiatives, including Project Lead the Way and other programs as determined.
Provides professional leadership to keep abreast of educational trends.
Prepares and maintains appropriate records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in education, education administration, or related field and extensive experience teaching or as an education administrator, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Minnesota Teaching License.
Minnesota Education Administration License.
Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.
