Greetings from Chess Kenya.

Following the successful CK Elections AGM of 20th April 2013, we would like to introduce the following new officials:

1. Githinji Hinga - Chairman
2. Rehema Maria Khimulu - Vice Chairman - Administrative
3. Lawrence Khaduli - Vice Chairman - Technical
4. Joseph Akello Atwoli - Secretary General
5. Phillip Singe - Deputy Secretary General
6. Musa Kwereba Gathua - Treasurer
7. Karan Christie - Deputy Treasurer
8. Sathya Latha - Executive Officer - Events, Trainers and Arbiters Committee
9. Peter Gilruth - Executive Officer - Chess in Schools
10. Brian Kidula - Executive Officer - PR and Marketing
11. Paul Aloyo - Executive Officer Universities and Colleges Committee
12. Collins Yang - Executive Officer - Clubs, Branches and Elections Committee
13. Charles Nyaberi - Patron

Invitation to Arbiters Training Seminar:
Kenya has been invited by the FIDE Arbiter's Seminar to participate in the above online Seminar.

Details:
- 3 hours/day for 6 days for a seminar session
- Exam at the end of the session
- attribution of a FIDE ARBITER norm (or title)

2013 National League Preparations & Regulations:
1. All team captains are hereby invited to a meeting on June 2nd 2013 for purposes in helping to draft rules and regulations, calendar, budget and other necessary logistics. Captains should confirm attendance by 25th May 2013 to the secr...@chesskenya.or.ke.

2. As a regulation, EACH team will have a maximum of TEN (10) players comprising of AT LEAST TWO (2) Ladies of which at least ONE(1) lady should be fielded during the matches.
3. There will be 5 Boards per team.

New Tournament Regulations with effect from July 1st 2013
1. Chess Kenya should be notified three weeks in advance by Tournament Organisers.
2. ALL Chess Tournaments will be rated by Chess Kenya. There will be a rating surcharge for non - Chess Kenya Members.
3. We also invite all event organizers to a meeting on June 2nd 2013for purposes in helping to draft rules and regulations, calendar, budget and other necessary logistics. Interested Organisers should confirm attendance by 25th May 2013 to the secr...@chesskenya.or.ke.
4. ALL  players intending to participate in ANY self-sponsored International Event should liaise with Chess Kenya with reasonable notice through the secretariat.

VACANCY: Full Time: Office Clerk at Chess Kenya Offices
Chess Kenya requires to recruit a suitable person for the above mentioned post.
Qualifications:
1. Computer Literacy
2. Post High School Education Qualifications
3. Good Communication and PR Skills
4. Ability to reports and proposals.
5. Knowledge of Chess
