MUMBAI: Bank of India today posted a net profit of Rs 757.04 crore for
the quarter ending March 31, a 69.19 per cent growth over the
corresponding period last year.
The company had net profit of Rs 447.44 crore for the quarter ended
March 31, 2007, the bank said in a filing to the National Stock
Exchange.
For the year ended March 31, the bank posted net profit of Rs 2,009.40
crore, against Rs 1,123.17 crore last year. It declared a dividend of
Rs 4 on shares of Rs 10 each (40 per cent) for the financial year
2007-2008.
The bank earned interest of Rs 3,501.61 crore for the quarter ended
March 31, against Rs 2,615.39 crore last fiscal, the bank added.
The bank earned interest of Rs 12,355.22 crore for the year ended
March 31, as compared to Rs 9,180.33 crore in the previous year.
Shares of the Bank were trading at Rs 343.45, up 3.05 per cent on NSE
in the afternoon trade.
