Govt likely to hike petrol price 2 rupee/L, diesel 1 rupee this wk
NEW DELHI - The government is likely to increase petrol and diesel
prices by 2 rupees per 1 L and 1 rupees per 1 L, respectively, later
this week, a top oil ministry official said today.
"The Cabinet committee on political affairs will discuss the issue
later
this week and make a formal announcement," the official told
reporters.
However, the government is unlikely to change any duties on
petroleum products in the forthcoming Union Budget, he said.
