ONGC to give BHEL up to 10-bln-rupee order for onland rig revamp

NEW DELHI - Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. is likely to soon award
a contract worth around 10 bln rupees to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.
for revamp of its onland drilling rigs, a senior official of the state-
run
exploration major said today.
BHEL is the original equipment manufacturer of our onland rigs,
which are now being refurbished in phases. We will soon place an order
worth 9-10 bln rupees to BHEL.
ONGC plans to hand over 16 onland rigs for refurbishment to BHEL in
the current phase.
