Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has posted an 8 per cent increase in
its net profit at Rs 507 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as
compared to Rs 466 crore for the corresponding previous year.
Total Income of the company has decreased from Rs 5582 crore for the
year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 5407 crore for the year ended March
31, 2008.
For the quarter ended March 2008, the company announced posted a net
profit of Rs 219 crore as compared to Rs 202 crore for the
corresponding previous period.
Total income during the quarter increased from Rs 1,390 crore in March
2007 to Rs 1463 crore during March 2008.
