Tata Tele cuts pre-paid national long distance call rate up to 40%

NEW DELHI - Tata Teleservices Ltd. has cut pre-paid charges on
national
long distance calls by up to 40%, a company release said today.
At a recharge value of 69 rupees, the company's pre-paid customers
can
make national long distance calls at 1 rupee per minute, down 40% from
previous call rates.
Local calls made to any other network mobile customer will be
charged at
0.49 rupee a minute.
Incoming calls and outgoing local calls to any number will be
charged at 1
rupee a minute.
The company has also cut call charges for those post-paid
customers who
subscribe to 349-rupee monthly rental plan.
The plan lets customers make national long distance calls at 1
rupee a
minute. This plan additionally offers free talk-time of 349 rupees.
Local
calls are be charged at 0.50 rupee a minute. End
