With reference to the earlier announcement dated March 07, 2008,
Amrutanjan
Ltd has informed BSE that on July 08, 2008 the Company has sold the
lands and
buildings situated at Egattur, Chengleput Taluk, Kancheepuram
District, Tamil
Nadu, to Life Insurance Corporation of India for a total consideration
of Rs
110 crores (Rupees One hundred and ten crores only).
This sale will attract capital gains tax as applicable as per the
provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. End
