Maruti Suzuki to shut down all plants for maintenance Jun 22-29

NEW DELHI - The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India
Ltd. will
shut down all its four plants for annual maintenance from Jun 22 to
Jun 29, a
company official said today.
"This would be a week-long routine maintenance shutdown," the
official
told NewsWire18.
Maruti Suzuki shuts down its plants for maintenance twice a year--
June
and December.
The company has three plants in Gurgaon and one in Manesar in
Haryana.

DESPATCHES
Delhi-based dealers said the shutdown would result in despatches
being
delayed.
"Customers will have to wait till the next month as we have been
told by
the company that there would be no despatches during the period
(shutdown," a
dealer said.
The official, however, said there would be no disruptions in
despatches
form the plants.
While the three Gurgaon plants have a total installed capacity of
350,000
units per year, the new Manesar facility, which produces the hatchback
Swift,
SX4 and Dzire sedans, has an installed capacity of 100,000 units.

M800 LPG
Maruti Suzuki Thursday launched the liquefied petroleum gas
variant of
its cheapest model M800.
The model has been priced at 205,682 rupees (STD) and 226,177
rupees (AC),
ex-Delhi.
