Axis bank has announced a net profit of $82.53 million (Rs 330 crore)
during the first quarter of the 2008-09 fiscal compared to $43.74
million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

With this, the bank recorded a growth of over 88 per cent.
For the quarter ending June 30, 2008, total income increased to
$722.81 million (Rs 2891 crore) compared to $469.82 million (Rs 1879
crore) in the corresponding period last year
during the first quarter of the 2008-09 fiscal compared to $43.74
million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
