Hi
I'm wondering if there is some way to recover my Keepnote folders. It
seems that I have lost the .nbk file. I only have the folders that
reside inside my Keepnote user data folder.

What can I do? Can I recover the Keepnote data in some way?

Thank you again for your help and for creating a great application

In the case of the .nbk file with a zero length. You could try :
1) Make a copy of your keepnote book folder.
2) Create a new keepnote book.
3) Copy the .nbk file from the root folder of your new keepnote book
into the correspondant position in your copy.
4) Open your keepnote book copy as usual.

The problem of zero length file seems to be solved in the last test version.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion
I tried that, but it did not really work
I can now open the tree showing my data-tree, but when I click on a
node to open it, I get this mesage:
rror loading '/home/ray/Ray_Master_Files/TreeDBNotes/Ray_KeepNote_Data/
grammar/grammar book.com/periods/page.html'.

Is there some way to save my data now?

Thank you!
- Ray

Hello Patrick,
You mentioned that this problem seems to be solved in the latest
version?
Do you mean that the latest version could possibly open my data?
I am already using 0.6

I sincerely hope that the KeepNote gurus can fix this problem for me:)
Regards!
Ray

If your page.html file has a zero length, your are out of luck (unless you could retrieve your data from a recent backup).

Otherwise try to open the page.html file with your browser. If you have the begin of your data but not the end, that mean that the file is corrupted. A html file corrupted could be repaired manually (with the remaining of the data) without too much effort .

Yes and No. The last fix prevent some corruption of files, but it do not cure.

No, not better than the 0.6.1 actual version (as far as I know).

I am already using 0.6

I am clearly not a guru. I am just a user. Matt Rasmussen is the master of the keepnote universe. I beleive that a community could be emerge for keepnote. If a community is created a "data sanity check" and perhaps "data repair/recovery" utilities could be expected.
