Hi,

I'm trying to associate tab to 'indent more', but since the only way to
assign shortcuts is to press the key while the mouse is pointing at the
menu entry, some keys like tab are not allowed.

Is there a preferences file I could edit? I'm reading the sources, but
couldn't find it. I'm on linux.

Thanks

Best,
-Jose

The shortcut preference file is:
~/.config/takenote/accel.txt

Hope this helps.

looks like tab cannot be used as accelerator in gtk?

seems like there's a bug on indentation anyway.
I have bound backslash, and when I press it it does indent... but only
if there's at least one char in that line.

And... it doesn't keep the indentation level in the next line if I press
enter. But when I type anything, it magically jumps to the correct
indentation level.

Very distracting... I want a behaviour that is standard in 90% of the
editors I've tried, and it's taking me ages to get it (!).

also, indentation size is different. The first one is smaller than the
second one. I guess this is a problem with the gtk component? no idea.
Small detail, but it does make the text look clunky.

gtk does not offer many features with the builtin text widget so I
have had to implement many of these things (bullet points, etc) by
hand. I plan to revisit some of these quirks soon once I get my
latest release done. Thanks for all your feedback.
