pasting plain text loses blank lines

Hi,

Pasting plain text (from e.g. an email) loses blank lines.
I understand why this happens, and why html pasting works ok... but it's
certainly an annoyance. Many things are simply text. A notetaker that
fails at this simple task should have a very good reason. Is this a bug
or a feature?
