Winter Education Program
Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 PM in the Chart room and Lounge at
the Memorial Union Come early to get a good seat.
Stories and Lessons from the 2011 Race to Mackinac:
The crew of Intuition will talk and show photos about racing in this
iconic race on Lake Michigan. In the second half, they will discuss
safety in light of the events of the tragic storm that swept though
the fleet. Joining us in a open discussion about safety will be a
couple local crew members who experienced the squall, as well as
comments received from other boats in the race.
Tom Kershner, Jenn Mecainag, Mark Gillespie, Chris Hynes, Bill and
Shelly Burns. Also with Tom Oatman and Paul Gunther.
Door Prizes presented by West Marine. Winner of the sailing knife last
week was Peter Keuler. Congratulations.
