Hi all.

First, let me introduce myself coz I'm new here ;)
My name is Azwar, you can call me 'ajwar'. I'm student.

I want to translate Logo commands to my own language (Bahasa
Indonesia) and also include it in KTurtle script language option menu.
Would you like to give me guides or references please? ;)

hi azwar,

nice you want to translate kturtle to indonesian.

my tips are as follows:
- make sure to use a very recent version of kturtle and kde (upgade
to a recent release of a mainstream distro will do)
- get in contact with the translation team for indonesia (see the links below)
- just translate kturtle as if it where any other kde app, yet keep
some things in mind that are outlined here:
http://edu.kde.org/kturtle/translator.php

that's it!

good luck, and please let us know how you are doing...

and.. thanks for wanting to help out. with indonesian translations i
see many possible use for kturtle with indonesian kids.

kindly,
cies.

Thanks for the link, I had read it, by the way where is the source code located?
What is the next step, should I download and compile it with some modification?

logo programming language commands into my language. Would you like to

no worries.

translating the GUI strings and translating the commands of kturtle's
programming language happens in the same way.

command should be in the same pot file, which version are you translating?

see here an example of a PO file:
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kde4/nl/messages/kdeedu/kturtle.po?revision=1229594&view=markup

it translates the GUI strings and the commands to dutch.

i hope this helps,
cies.

p.s.: please reply to the mailing list, se we can all benefit from
this discussion.
