I warped my Y motor mount on my MendelMax by running the motor too hot.  I'd like another one in ABS (I've also lowered the drive current and added a pineapple of heatsinks to the motor).  Anyone mind printing one for me?  It's this model:

I'd prefer black :)

I'll take a stab at it, I usually run black ABS on my Cupcake and it's been printing pretty well lately.

Awesome, thanks :)  What's the timeline look like?

I can print it on the replicator. You would have to wait until Thursday, though.

Let me know and I'll start one.

Rob, I have plenty of other things I'd like printed for my printer if you want an excuse to fire up the Replicator :)

I would be up for a print off!

Alas, it would be a bit of a waste.

Bryan, what would you like me to print?

You could do a print off with the reprap mass build.

Fair enough. What source files are being used? Also, is natural PLA okay?

I'd really prefer black ABS, followed by black PLA, to the point of sourcing some for you if you're low.

I'm making one of the models (NEMA17 to 608 bearing adapter), and the other is:

I need two.  They look like relatively low-plastic models.

I think this will work for my second piece:   http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21499   I haven't test fit one, but the diameter of the middle should be 21 of the 22mm required for a 608ZZ bearing.

8mm or 10mm version? Including clasps? Two of each?

8mm, no clasps yet (if I really need them we can print them Thursday?), two of each.  Thanks! :)

2% infill? Kidding, but that was what my fist print was. :-/

20% infill ok?

I'd prefer 25-30% since they're pretty sparse models already, and holds up the whole x axis while it's banging around :). The nema17 adapter I made was the wrong size. I'm trying to correct it now...

I printed the original part you linked to in black ABS, 30% infill. I think it turned out good though I would measure the dimensions to be sure.

Sure thing, if I can't make it to the meeting I'll pass it to Richard to bring it along.

I have one at 20% (you answered too late and it was mostly done), one at 30%, and a second will be ready at 30% (slower, cleaner looking) later tonight.

I’ll bring them Thursday. I’ll probably be pretty late getting there though.

That's alright, later on Thursday is fine :)  In the meantime I've hacked my machine to keep running for the Prusa parts by using an embarassing system of zipties and fistfuls of heatsinks.  Thanks again, both of you! :D

I've got Paul's motor mount swapped out, it fit beautifully.  I still need to get Rob's motor mounts swapped out, but I'm trying to get the last few things printed that I need for my MendelMax overhaul.

Lots of compliments from people about the print quality on those sets of parts :)

Awesome since one is a cupcake and the other a replicator! The circle is complete. :P
