Research data in the advance of education, research and innovation
Data collation, analysis and distribution are functions integral to digital scholarship and increasingly shape our data management and curation activities. Data infrastructures for advanced education, research and innovation are defined across a broad spectrum, ranging from virtual worlds and online gaming to laboratory instrumentation and large scale earth observations. This conference aims to surface the opportunities and challenges that emergent data infrastructures bring to current and future scholarship.
Proposals are invited to submit abstracts (not more than 250 words) for eposters to be showcased at the conference. Deadline for submissions: 28 March 2013.
Electronic posters will be displayed at the venue on electronic display boards for the duration of the Conference as well as on the Conference web site,. Electronic poster proposals will be reviewed by the Conference Programme Committee and evaluated according to their contribution to the Conference theme: Research data in the advance of education, research and innovation.
Guidelines
1. Please create your electronic poster using MSPowerPoint or OpenOffice presentation software.
2. The electronic poster can consist of 1 to 5 slides, and should not exceed 5 minutes in total.
3. Use animation and multimedia content to enhance your electronic poster.
4. Set the electronic poster up as a slide show, with slide transitions included.
5. It will be your own responsibility to ensure that the electronic poster displays correctly on the day prior to the start of the Conference.
6. The poster title and your name should be clearly displayed on each slide.
7. No audio speakers will be available.
8. The electronic poster stations will have no connection to the Internet. Therefore please do not embed any items that require Internet connection.
9. After being set up, the electronic poster should be able to loop without any human intervention (e.g. avoid clickable hyperlinks).
10. The final electronic poster will be subject to quality control.
11. Pamphlets/brochures/leaflets are welcome.
