Enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) is a managerial function that must be integrated with organisational (strategic and operational) processes. Gone are the days when risk management was managed in separate silos alongside managerial functions, such as fire and safety, loss control, internal audit, occupational health and safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, project risk management and other managerial functions. The King III Code on Governance stipulates that ERM is the responsibility of all managers on all levels, and should be practised by all staff on a daily base. |

Aim |
• Introduction to ERM › Historical development › Basic concepts › Risk philosophy › Risk appetite › Risk tolerance › Risk framework and process • Relationship with other managerial functions › ERM and strategy formulation › Structuring ERM within your organisation › Stakeholders involved in ERM › ERM, integrity and ethical values › ERM, internal controls and internal audit › ERM and corporate governance › ERM and project management, financial management, legal compliance and more… • Overview of leading international and local ERM frameworks • ERM in practice within your organisation |
