I wrote a utility script to put the data into a an sqlite database since that's easier for programs to work with.  Would it make sense to contribute the script to the KanjiVG project, so that everyone who uses it has an extra option for how to access the data?

Currently it just makes a kanji table with character, variant, and svg columns and a component table with parent and child columns (since these are the things that would be useful for anki addons I'm considering writing.)  I could make it include more if that would make it more generally useul.

Sqlite is certainly not easier for me to work with, but I'm all for having
code contributed that others may find useful.

Of course...  merely potentially easier depending on both the program and the programmer.

Anyway, I've submitted it in a pull request on github.

Yup, I think that's cool and could be useful for people using KanjiVG.
As for the project itself, I am not sure - I'd rather see it live into
a separate repository for now.

Alex.

Sure.  I'll keep it on my fork of KanjiVG for now, and possibly give it its own repository at some point if that ever seems worth it.
