How do you generate the master kanjivg.xml file? Do you have a base
font for reference?

It is created from the individual svg files by the kvg.py script. See
updatepublic.sh for how this is done.

We used to (a long time ago), but now that we have enough characters
KanjiVG can be its own reference.

Alex.

I'm interested in creating animated svgs from your data. Is there anyone
else working on that to prevent reinventing the wheel?

There is at least one for now: http://kanji.prasatko.jp/ . You can
reach SVG animations built from KanjiVG from any word or character.
For instance: http://kanji.prasatko.jp/sod.php?jis=14438

Nice, but that is not SVG as far as I can see (and the source does not seem
to be available neither).

The one at http://kanji.prasatko.jp/sod.php?jis=14438 is indeed an svg
animated exactly the way I was thinking. Got some dirty code together
parsing your kanjivg.xml file, attached is a work in progress sample.

Hi Alexandre,
Yes, it is SVG, but coded in java. The source code is not available but is pretty simple as far as the animation goes.
Cheers,
Craig.
