Subject: private_MPS_FileAppender - Ready for merge
Hi,

I've taken Tyson's contributed file appender, extended it & documented it
somewhat, put it in a branch it's now ready to merge. There's also a simple
demo included.

Branch: private_MPS_FileAppender
Branch point: 5413

To assist with review:

   cd branches/private_MPS_FileAppender
   svn diff -r5413:HEAD

Modified Files:
    <none>

New files:
    Index: Kamaelia/Kamaelia/File/Append.py
    Index: Kamaelia/Examples/Files/DemoAppend.py

What does it do?

Provides a new component Kamaelia.File.Append.Append. This component
is created simply for the purpose of appending data recieved on it's inbox
to a file. It can also forward a copy of the data to outbox "outbox"

To merge (if happy)

    cd trunk/Code/Python
    svn merge -r5413:HEAD ../../../branches/private_MPS_FileAppender .
    svn ci .

... or just say "Looks good here" :-)

If there's no volunteer for merging/reviewing this, or I get a "looks good
here" I'll merge this.

Regards,

Michael

No volunteer for review, so I'm merging.

Hi Michael, thanks for merging this in. Looks like the end-user API is still
as simple as I could remember (a Good Thing(R) in my view). Hopefully it
doesn't suffer the issue where data is appended in the wrong order if you
use it with the ConsoleReader and ConsoleWriter any more...
Going to test it soon, when I get round to checking an SVN version of
Kamaelia out.

Tyson.
