I am out and about to throw myself over the balcony if I don't get the dropdown "Like navbar" menu to work on my blog. What I am talking about is the Menu as shown on the official site of K2 <http://getk2.com/> when you do Mouseover at the "ABOUT" menu.
Well the past weeks I have been reading a lot about it, about to get the dropdown menu work with K2, installing something called Suckerfish & Superfish, but I can't come trought about how it goes, maybe someone could help me out with a DIY thread or something.
What I want to do is: http://www.getlow.es (my blog) under the header you can see a menu that say's "Coches de invitados" means "Guest cars" in Spanish, so I want a dropdown there were I can list the different guest cars to a separate Page, avoiding so, having 50 menu words (one after the other) under the header.
1. Create a new page, i.e. about 2. Create a second new page i.e. colophon 3. edit second new page, find attributes section, select in parent drop down your first page
1. Parent page "bricos"
2. Child pages "Electronica" & "motor" ....
3. They appear like this on the right side of the blog like the archives, but not as a dropdown menu in the header.
Any idea?
Thx.

Your Blog use a "K2 1.0" as I see, while at my blog "K2 1.5a1" is displayed at the meta tag. I guess the dropdown feature is only available at the most up to date version of K2. I use the latest nightly build which can display a dropdown menu in the header. So if it is possible to you, update your K2 to the latest version at http://getk2.com/nightly/ and don't forget to make a backup first.
I've downloaded the last version over the link you told me, tried to upload it via the "Admin Panel" of wordpress in "Upload Theme" then I got the error message, that a folder called K2 already exists, no problem, created a new folder called K2 1.5 via FTP, uploaded everything into that folder and selected the new Theme over the Theme select panel.
So My wordpress blog is actually running on the latest version, but still not working the dropdown menu.
ok I found it. The dropdown menu output is correctly generated from wordpress/k2. You can check this in your sourcecode by looking for <div class="headermenu"> and there are some "children" inside. But you use a lot of plugins. I can advise you to disable the unused ones. (You also installed the most up-to-date K2 in parallel to the old one. This should be adjusted.) The cause of the missing dropdown menu is that you or a plugin overwrite/reset the whole css. Check your sourcecode for
So as a solution you have to update/change your custom css. If I remove this line in firebug the dropdown menu is working. (Ok the whole layout vanishes.)
So, me again... today I disabled nearly all the Plugins wich seemed to modify the CSS (like Save CSS and all that stuff)
Than I activated the new theme (K2 update, you mentioned a few posts before)
And voilà... Dropdown does work.
But...
No header image, no background image, no aside image.. well all the style got lost, and the Plugins doesn't appear (not even if activated, like the facebook like box) definetly I am doing something wrong.
At the end I uploaded an backup from a few weeks.. and everything is the same again, only that I am having some trouble with the NEXt GEN Gallery Plugin.
Andreas, would you mind if I give you my E-Mail adress and MSN, and create you an Admin User, so you could probably help me out with that stuff, as I am stucked here and no choice of learning by doing, as finally I will loose stuff.
